About Our Club

The Joliet Exchange Club

… Is a group of volunteer men and women devoted to using their talents separately and together to promote the prevention of child abuse, help the disadvantaged and encourage strong, American citizenship.

… begins each of its weekly meetings with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer, which leads to fellowship and networking with Members of all social strata in community work, business, government and non-profits.

… Celebrates the accomplishments of our local high school students through the Youth of the Year scholarship essay contest and the Accepting the Challenge of Excellence (A.C.E.) award program for students who have overcome adversities and prepare for graduation.

… Encourages Americanism in our youth by honoring local ROTC and Sea Cadets in six high schools for their work with community service projects.

… Honors local heroes through the prestigious Police Officer of the Year and Firefighter of the Year ceremonies annually.

… Helps our community remember what “IT” is all about through the annual One Nation Under God ecumenical program.

… Sponsors many activities to improve our community, but our two big ones are the annual Golf Outing in June and the Spaghetti Dinner in October. Revenues from those two events, with the help of our many volunteers, help us fund various local charities throughout the year.
